So the night before, I insist my older-than-me-nephew that we go to Mahabalipuram and see the sunrise. He said we’d go if we wake up. And that was my duty ( Also, I failed at waking up the previous day). We left on time. By around 4:00a.m. we (my cousin, nephew and I) were on road driving to ‘Mahabs’. We got there earlier than expected; walked down to the beach through the sidewalks of the Sea Shore Temple and waited there for the sun to show up.

Once it was time and the sun was waking up, the sky began to look breathtaking – it was painted in shades of orange and purple, was just too pretty. Once the sun was fully up and shining, it was now possible to see fishermen. They were all heading back to the shore after their catch and a few still waiting for their catch of the day.
